Dennis J. Rickert

I am a retired police officer (22 years) who was twice offered the Chief of Police position. As a police officer I held the following positions: patrol officer, road patrol supervisor, Detective Sergeant, Youth Bureau Sergeant, and Administrative Lieutenant. I was a certified breathalyzer operator, a field training officer, and I worked undercover details. My experience as a police officer provides me with great knowledge of police policies, procedures and tactics. As a criminal defense attorney I know what mistakes the police made in a case, the weaknesses in their cases, and I use this knowledge and experience to obtain the best outcome for my clients. I have been an attorney since 1995 and after retiring from the police department in 2004 I opened my own lawn firm in downtown Mt. Clemens. In addition to my criminal law practice, I also handle juvenile delinquency cases, abuse & neglect (protective services) cases, and divorce and family law cases.
