Legal Answers
Q. My divorce was 8 years ago, my name is still on the house after my ex was told to take it off. What do I do?
A: Your remedy is to file a contempt motion against her for willfully violating the terms of the divorce decree. 8 years is way more than a "reasonable" time to get you off the loan. If she claims she doesn't qualify to refinance it, the Court will likely order it sold so you will be off the mortgage.

Consult with an experience divorce lawyer to assist in representing you and filing the Contempt motion if necessary.
Q. WHERE CAN I FIND WAIVER FORMS FOR A DISSOLUTION CASE NOT TO DISCLOSE FINANCES
A: A complete disclosure by both sides of all assets and debts is a fundamental starting point in every dissolution. In the Ohio counties around Dayton, I know of no such waiver form. You may be able with a lawyer to convince the Judge to seal the entire file if there is good cause..
Q. In a no fault, nochildren,no property dissalusion, how do I prove I have no income when I get the afidavit notorized?
A: You do not "prove" anything to the Notary. All you do is swear under oath to the Notary that the information on the affidavit is truthful. The Notary does not attempt to verify the factual accuracy of the information on the affidavit. Very simple.
