I am a commercial litigator specializing in federal litigation, including trials. I work extensively with online businesses, specifically in connection with the use of intellectual property on the Internet in both litigation and non-litigation roles. My firm is also recognized for its strength in construction litigation.

I have successfully represented clients of every size in state and federal courts, arbitrations and mediations in a variety of litigation matters, including contract disputes, distributorship litigation, trademark and unfair competition cases, business tort claims, toxic tort and insurance coverage litigation, discrimination and wrongful discharge cases, copyright infringement claims, and cases involving trade secrets, restrictive covenants and real estate. My litigation experience runs from pretrial investigation and early dispute resolution through every aspect of bench and jury trials as well as appeals.

Attorney Shepro is the owner of Jeffrey Shepro P.C. in New York City. At New York Law School he was elected Co-Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity. He interned for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation where he audited construction contracts, license agreements and government grants. After law school and prior to opening his own practice, Attorney Shepro worked in general practice. He represented clients in litigation, corporate transactions and real estate transactions. Before entering the practice of law, he worked in corporate finance and sales operations. He helped increase sales, customers and efficiencies for several large corporations.

Mr. Ahuja is a U.S. citizen born in India. Mr. Ahuja received his education and experience both in India and the United States. Mr. Ahuja holds an LL.M. (International Business Law); an LL.M. in Labor Laws; LL.B. (JD); M.B.A. (Personnel Management & Labor Welfare); M.B.A. (Business Management); a Diploma in German language; a Postgraduate Diploma in Gandhian Philosophy, besides his M.A. (Major: International Relations) and B.A. (Honors) degrees.

Mr. Ahuja has worked as an Attorney (Trademarks) at the United States Department of Commerce, Patent and Trademark Office, as an Of Counsel to Aitken Irvin Lewin Berlin Vrooman & Cohn, LLP, a Washington, D.C. based law firm specializing in the international business law, as a Consultant to M&M Consultants in Massachusetts, as a General Counsel to Soft Computer Consultants in New York, and Regional Manager at Oriental Bank of Commerce, India. Mr. Ahuja has worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Baruch College [City University of New York], New York, NY, as an Adjunct Faculty and taught International Business at the USDA Graduate School, Washington, D.C; and as Adjunct Faculty at Howard University. He has been on numerous other legal panels and organized a number of conferences, has frequently been a guest speaker to various institutions of management sciences and law including Continuing Legal Education program for attorneys. Justin Sher represents executives, entrepreneurs and companies in complex business disputes and white collar criminal investigations. He is the founder and managing partner of Sher LLP.

Lisa Renee Pomerantz has more than twenty-five years of varied legal experience. After graduating cum laude from Radcliffe College of Harvard University and from Boston University Law School where she was on the Law Review, Lisa spent a year as a law clerk to a federal court judge. Following a stint as a litigation attorney in private practice, she worked for more than fifteen years as a senior level in-house attorney for a major corporation. Her responsibilities there included transactional matters, compliance initiatives, dispute resolution and counseling clients on a broad variety of corporate, employment, antitrust and intellectual property matters.

Since 2003, Lisa has had her own practice. She works with innovative and creative enterprises to structure and foster successful business relationships and to resolve disputes amicably and cost-effectively. Her dispute resolution activities include membership on the American Arbitration Association’s Roster of Neutrals as a Commercial Mediator and Arbitrator. Lisa also develops and presents creative and effective interactive training programs, is a popular keynote speaker at business, association and educational events, and publishes a monthly newsletter entitled “Making the Connection.”

Lisa is a recognized leader in the business and legal communities. Lisa is Vice-Chair of the Suffolk County Women’s Business Enterprise Coalition, and has served as Co-Chair of its Trade Show Committee. She also has served on the Planning and Education Committees of the Women’s Expo, and on the Nominating and Awards Program Committees for the Long Island Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

In the legal community, Lisa has chaired the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property Committees, and has been an Officer and Advisory Board member of the Suffolk Academy of Law. In 2007, Lisa was honored to receive the Suffolk County Bar Association Directors’ Award in recognition of her service as ADR Committee Co-Chair. She also received Awards of Recognition in 2004 for her contributions to continuing legal education and as Intellectual Property Committee Co-Chair.

Ms. Sugarman has been an attorney on Long Island for over 10 years, practicing in many areas, including residential and commercial real estate, buying and selling businesses, commercial litigation, including banking, construction, breach of contract and surety claims. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Sugarman worked as a real estate paralegal for The Klar Organization.

Ellen Rothstein has been an attorney since 1983 and practices in the following areas: business, commercial, construction and real estate litigation, residential real estate and co-op transactions and tort law. Many clients come to her through referral as she is known by her colleagues to handle all matters with personal service and quality results. Ms. Rothstein is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit, and the U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Ms. Rothstein has an extensive legal education including an LL.M. in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law. She earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1982. Ms. Rothstein also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the State University of New York at Albany from which she graduated in 1979 Magna Cum Laude.

She belongs to the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City New York.
