Since forming Wisner Dispute Resolution Services in 2003, Alec Wisner has been using his unique and diverse background to assist hundreds of clients successfully resolve their disputes. Thoroughly trained in all aspects of mediation, especially in the areas of divorce and family mediation as well as commercial mediation, Alec provides both an understanding of the underlying issues and an ability to facilitate positive communication.

Alec brings a rich and diverse background to his mediation practice. While attending U.C.L.A., he won numerous national debate awards, graduating in 1971. Alec matriculated at the University of Southern California Law Center, earning his J.D. in 1974.

From 1975 through 1978, Mr. Wisner developed his legal skills in the areas of family and commercial law. In 1978, seeking new challenges, he entered the world of corporate business. During the ensuing eighteen years, Alec served in top management in the printing/publishing industry. In this capacity, he managed the growth or several medium-size corporations and was personally responsible for the spinoff of several new, successful enterprises. Mr. Wisner is still actively involved as a director of such corporations as Golden Triangle Financial Services, located in Las Vegas, NV.

Returning to the full-time practice of law, Mr. Wisner became a principal in Stanbury Fishelman & Wisner, Inc., in Los Angeles, California. As an attorney, Mr. Wisner's practice encompassed complex civil litigation, class actions, as well as family law.

I've tried over the years to avoid the pitfalls of bad lawyers. I try to be humble, polite and hard working. I never lie to a client. I strive for excellent results for a fair price. I never steal from my clients. A good nightâs sleep is worth far more than ill-gotten gains.

The highest duty of every lawyer is loyalty to his client. A good lawyer returns calls from his clients and works on his cases to move them along as quickly as the court allows.

I show clients what they canât do for themselves. I have 40 years of experience winning cases and studying the law. A good reputation builds good referrals from my clients.

Most lawyers are incredibly greedy. There are many who lose their licenses to practice law every month because theyâve cheated and stolen from their clients. They have no moral values or pride in their work. Each client is a new victim of their insatiable drive to become wealthy. They are never trusted by the Court, other lawyers or even by their own clients.

A clientâs trust is achieved by telling the truth, being honest and building a reputation for hard work and successful results. My clients trust me because Iâve been treating clients properly and fairly for forty years. Even if it demands that I tell them the bad news on their case. I often do charity work for clients who cannot pay me a fee. I believe that a lawyerâs time and knowledge are his stock and trade. They have nothing else to sell. A humble, polite, hard working attorney is an attorney that you can trust. I never talk down to my clients. They can understand the law if it is clearly explained to them.
