I currently reside in the Twin Cities, but I spend a significant portion of my time in the Duluth area where I grew up and where I still have family. My background:

I graduated summa cum laude from Hamline University School of Law in 2003. At Hamline, I was an editor of the Law Review, was ranked second in my graduating class, and received the Minnesota State Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section's Award for Excellence in Employment Law. I also clerked for a judge in Dakota County and later worked at the head legal office at the Pentagon.

After graduating, I clerked for the Minnesota Court of Appeals for a year, served a stint as a prosecutor, and entered private practice in 2005. My experiences have taught me to view issues from a variety of angles as I have seen how things can go wrong from all sides of a case.

Because of my experiences, I firmly believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I am happy to help clients in the beginning so that we can try to prevent problems before they occur, but I am very capable of addressing problems when they pop up.

Named a Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics, Brendan prides himself on his ability to dissect seemingly complex matters that other lawyers shy away from and litigating them in the most efficient and effective manner to achieve only the best results for his clients. His clients consist of individuals and businesses, throughout the nation, and of all varieties. He litigates before state courts in Minnesota and North Dakota as well as federal courts at both the district and appellate levels. He is a 2004 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN, where he was honored as a Collegiate All-American Scholar and recognized for his public service. He is also a 1999 graduate from Jamestown College in Jamestown, ND, where he played for the Hall of Fame Jimmies Football Team.

Attorney Kelly Klun is successful because she listens to her client’s needs and objectives. She practices primarily in the areas of real estate, estate planning, business law, and probate. Her practice covers a broad range of commercial and residential real estate transactions, with particular focus on commercial leasing, land use, and related development agreements. As for estate planning, she works with families and individuals to ensure that their wishes are achieved and that the estate plan, whether it be a will or trust, is properly carried out. In addition, Kelly routinely prepares health care directives, financial powers of attorney, and beneficiary designations for life insurance and retirement plans for her clients. Finally, she works with entrepreneurs and dynamic businesses. Her broad strategic thinking skills help her clients achieve success in all phases of their development and growth. Kelly provides legal services throughout Minnesota, however, her primary service area includes northern Minnesota and the communities of Virginia, Hibbing, Ely, Grand Rapids, Bemidji, Cloquet, International Falls, and Duluth.

Kelly also serves her community as the Ely city attorney and she is involved in several community volunteer organizations. She is an active outdoors enthusiast and you will often find her biking, or spending free time, snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking, or just enjoying time with her family and friends.
