Ms. Appiah earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the State University of New York College at Buffalo, cum laude. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Appiah worked as a legal assistant and paralegal for the U.S. Small Business Administration - Disaster Assistance Office in Niagara Falls, NY. The Disaster Assistance Office provided federal loans and grants to those who suffered physical damage to their homes and physical and/or economic injury to their businesses as a result of a natural disaster.

Attorney Appiah earned her law degree from Albany Law School in Albany, NY, in 2003. It was there that she gained extensive appellate experience. She interned for a substantial amount of time for the Albany County District Attorney's Office Criminal Appeals Division. Ms. Appiah also interned for the Hon. Thomas J. McAvoy in the U.S. Northern District Court of New York, as well as the Corporations Division of the New York State Department of State.

Upon moving to Florida in 2003, Ms. Appiah worked for a solo practitioner whose practice focused on criminal and civil litigation. Since 2005, Ms. Appiah has contracted with the Tenth Judicial Public Defender's Office as a Special Assistant Public Defender on felony criminal appellate cases.

In 2005, Ms. Appiah also became a Program Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program. The Guardian ad Litem Program represents the best interests of children in cases alleging abuse, abandonment, and/or neglect. Ms. Appiah represented the Program in the juvenile dependency division of the circuit court in cases resulting in reunification, permanent guardianship, termination of parental rights, and adoption. Ms. Appiah worked as an Appellate Senior Program Attorney for the Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program from 2007 to 2009. She represented the Guardian ad Litem Program in District Courts of Appeal throughout the state of Florida.

Ms. Appiah has participated in several pro bono services throughout central Florida for those who are indigent and low income. She has participated in a number of family law clinics at Florida Legal Rural Services in Polk County. She has participated in a number of "Community Day" law clinics, as well as a "Citizenship Day" immigration law clinic in Pinellas County. Additionally, Ms. Appiah has been trained in human trafficking representation by the Orange County Bar Association in Orange County.

The focus of the Law Office of Ama N. Appiah is immigration cases, family law cases involving dependency and/or adoption, and international law cases involving child advocacy or adoption-related issues. However, we also represent parties in state and immigration appellate cases. The Law Office of Ama N. Appiah is particularly equipped to accommodate the representation of non-English speaking clients that speak Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Twi, and Vietnamese, through the use of interpreters.

William S. Foley attended the University of South Florida in Tampa and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduating from the University of South Florida, William S. Foley moved to New York City and attended Pace University School of Law.

While at Pace Law School, William S. Foley was active with the trial team as the trial team captain and additionally, the Articles Editor of the Pace International Law Review. William S. Foley was also a Student Attorney with the New York Legal Aid Society in the Bronx Criminal Court system and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office and the New York Attorney General’s Office. William S. Foley graduated from Pace Law School cum laude.

After moving back to Tampa, William S. Foley worked at Catherine W. Real, P.A. as an associate practicing exclusively in the area of family law. After attaining the position of Senior Associate, William S. Foley later went on to run the family law division at the Law Firm of Taracks, Gomez & Associates in Tampa, Florida prior to founding and forming The Law Office of William S. Foley, P.A.

William S. Foley is the current president of the Lambda Chi Alpha Alumni Association of Tampa Bay. William S. Foley is a member of the Rough Riders Krewe in Tampa Bay.

My Education: I hold a jurist doctorate from Michigan State University. I have deep roots in the local community of Lee and Collier County. I received a bachelors degree from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Since obtaining my bar license, I have been a practicing attorney in the Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades County areas. I am very familiar will all the judges in all of these counties and they are familiar with me. I have handled both criminal and civil cases.

My Work Ethics: I am workaholic. I do not fear all nighters. I often work on my client's cases all through out the night. I am personally involved in all of my cases. I keep personal contact with all of my clients. I return all of my calls within a short amount of time. Unlike some attorneys that say they can be reached 24 hours a days but not really, I guarantee you that I can be reached 24 hours a day through my cell phone. I treat all of my clients as if they were the only clients that I have. I have an open door policy. You do not need an appointment to stop by to see me or to call me. Steven J. Glaros grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Southeastern Louisiana University where he graduated Cum Laude and received the Roy E. Hyde Award for Top Graduate in Major.

Steven attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he received his Juris Doctor after only two years in the school's accelerated program. While there he participated in the American Bar Association, Moot Court Competition and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity.

Initially, Steven worked under then Attorney General Charlie Crist for the State of Florida as an Assistant Attorney General in St. Petersburg, Florida. As an Assistant Attorney General he researched, drafted pleadings and litigated thousands of trials. Thereafter, he joined a law firm in Palm Harbor, Florida as their primary family law associate. While there he managed a high number of primarily family law cases; his emphasis being divorce, child custody, domestic violence injunctions, and dependency.

Steven became a solo practitioner where he represented mostly family law matters. Steven's experience includes representation of several divorcing wives of other Family Law attorneys and has prevailed in many highly contested custody battles. Steven has completed the Supreme Court of Florida certification course for family law mediators and will soon be a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Family Law Mediator.

In his spare time, Steven has volunteered for a variety of community interest projects. He volunteers at the annual Lawfest Workshop in St. Petersburg providing free legal advice to attendees. Steven volunteers for the guardian ad litem program assisting children within the legal system. He's hosted benefits for the animals of the Humane Society and post Katrina, he collected and distributed necessary aid to its victims then spent three weeks assisting in the clean-up.

Steven was raised in a family of divorce. He has personal knowledge of the effects divorce has on children as he lived through similar situations that you and your children may be experiencing. He is dedicated to your case but more importantly the best interests and needs of your children.

Maria is a native of Tarpon Springs, Florida and a graduate of Tarpon Springs High School. She also attended secondary school at the St. Nicholas Greek School where she was honored as a Lady's Philoptohos Fellowship recipient. She is bilingual in Greek.

Maria received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida with a 3.86 GPA. She received her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut. Maria received honors for Academic Achievement in Juvenile Law, Service to the Community and the Connecticut Title Insurance Company.

Initially, Maria was a law clerk for Yale Law School where she conducted research and prepared updated policies to conform with Federal Regulations. Thereafter, she worked as an associate for a law firm in New Haven, Connecticut where she handled thousands of personal injury claims, as well as condominium administration cases. Because of the long winters, she relocated back to Daytona Beach, Florida and worked as an Assistant State Attorney throughout the 7th Judicial Circuit prosecuting such offenses as DUI, drug possession, theft and battery.

Maria went into private practice where she handles criminal law, personal injury, labor law, and family law cases. She has tried a variety of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to DUI with serious bodily injury. Maria’s civil experience ranges from contract work, auto accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, premise liability and various business law matters. Maria has represented thousands of injured persons.

She also served as General Counsel and Associate General Counsel to public employee labor unions representing members (mostly law enforcement) for duty related incidents, filing grievances and negotiating contracts. Her duties also included serving as the critical incident respondent and team legal participant for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Law Enforcement League. Maria has trained and represented hundreds of law enforcement officers in matters involving the use of deadly force.

Maria is also a former Adjunct Professor of Keiser University where she taught Business Law and Criminal Law.

In her spare time, Maria volunteered by assisting the New Haven Housing Authority and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice as their attorney. Maria also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

William H. Beck was born December 28, 1971 in Arcadia, California. As a youth, Mr. Beck achieved the highest rank in Boy Scouts, the Eagle Scout, and spent two years in Europe where he learned to speak fluent German. After High School, Mr. Beck attended the National Polytechnic College of Science in Los Angeles where he specialized in Hyperbaric Medicine and received a Commercial Diving Certificate with a concentration on Advanced Dive Medicine in 1994.

Mr. Beck worked as a Paramedic in Los Angeles County and served four years as a Fireman in the United States Navy Reserve attached to the Navy Submarine Command in San Diego, California. Mr. Beck has also worked in the construction management industry and for the Public Transportation Department for the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska.

Mr. Beck returned to college in 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University in 2004 and a Juris Doctor from the University Of Florida Levin College Of Law in 2007.
After graduation, Mr. Beck served as a Trial Court Law Clerk and Judicial Staff Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Mr. Beck is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator experienced in mediating dissolution and child custody and support issues with great success. Mr. Beck practices primarily Family Law including marriage dissolutions, child custody and adoptions as well as Probate Law including wills and estate plans. Mr. Beck lives in Tarpon Springs, Florida with his wife and five children.
