I am a licensed immigration law attorney who specialized in family-based immigration law including immigrant visa petitions, K1 fiance visas, naturalization and citizenship, and adjustment of status. I also specialize in certain classes of non-immigrant visas including TN, E1/E2, and O1 visas.

I am married to a Peruvian national and am fluent in English and Spanish. I personally went through the immigration process when I was married to my wife in 2001.

My office is located in Michigan but I handle immigration cases for clients living all over the U.S. and the world.

Mr. Roby, a native of Detroit, Michigan, emphasizes the practice of U.S. immigration and nationality law. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College majoring in Philosophy and English and a Juris Doctor (law) degree from the University of Detroit.

Prior to his American law education, he studied Law and Philosophy at the Universitaet Muenster in Germany; International Private Law in The Hague, Netherlands; and passed the Universidad de Madrid Complutense intermediate level Language/Humanities course in Madrid, Spain. He enjoys speaking and reading German and Spanish.

He is admitted as an attorney in the State of Michigan. He is authorized to practice law before two U.S. District Courts in Michigan; the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio; and the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Roby has argued cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Board of Appellate Review (State Dept.). He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and he enjoys speaking and lecturing in public fora about U.S. Immigration subjects from time to time. He has written several articles on immigration law for local legal and news publications.
