In legal practice since 1996, Virginia Ann Jacobson has sought to provide caring and effective assistance and representation to a wide range of clients in need of legal counsel. Coming from central New York originally, after attending Cornell University and then State Univ. of New York at Buffalo School of Law, Ms. Jacobson and her husband have since made Prescott, Arizona their home. After five years as a passionate and hard working deputy public defender, Ms. Jacobson continues to provide aggressive and competent representation for criminal defendants, as well as representation in child custody, juvenile, guardianship and conservatorship, Title 36 and a full range of general civil practice areas. Ms. Jacobson has also become active as a Board Member with local non-profit Prescott People Who Care and as a member of PEAC (Prevention of Elder Abuse Coalition). Ms. Jacobson is also trained and interested in mediation, grant writing and advocacy and plans to secure her Fiduciary Certification in the future. Lastly, she is an adjunct professor at Yavapai College, teaching the Criminal Law and Procedure and the Civil Tort Litigation courses in the Paralegal program.
