Grant Doty retired from the Army after 20 years of service in 2008 as a Lieutenant Colonel. While serving as a Strategist and Speechwriter in Washington DC (with a short break in Iraq) he attended night law school in anticipation of his second career. He returned "home" to St. Louis and is now a new, but not-so-young, attorney working at the firm Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, LC. While most interested in Media/Communications Law, he also does Municipal Law, Administrative Law, Litigation, and has a strong continuing interest in Military and International Law.

NOTE: While its applicability to this Justia Profile is not clear, out of an abundance of caution, Missouri Supreme Court Rule 4-7.2(f) states that "any advertisement or communication pursuant to" Rule 4-7.2 [and reaching Missouri residents in Missouri] "shall contain the following disclosure" --
"The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements. This disclosure is required by rule of the Supreme Court of Missouri."
