I've been an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of John J. Feczko, P.C. since September of 2003. We practice primarily in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury and motor vehicle accident litigation, all traffic law and general litigation.

Our practice is split between Plaintiffs' work as well as insurance defense. The firm's Principal and Managing Partner, John Feczko, has been practicing law here in N.J. Since 1978. The majority of our clients are referral based and we do not advertise. We represent workers injured on the job as well as uninsured employers statewide in New Jersey. In fact, many of our clients are small businesses that do not have mandatory workers' compensation insurance.

Our firm has a regular presence in workers' compensation courts in Bergen, Passaic and Morris Counties as well as in Superior Court. ALAN S. GOLDBERGER is an attorney, speaker, and author. Alan was a certified and registered baseball umpire, a basketball official and football official for more than three decades. He began officiating with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) in 1968, while attending Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His officiating continued in New Jersey while he attended Rutgers University School of Law in Camden. He continued to officiate all three sports for many years thereafter. He has officiated many state tournament games, as well as college basketball, working most recently in the Northeast Conference.

This lawyer won on summary judgment, in a class action lawsuit alleging an entitlement to 14 million dollars-- meaning that the case never even had to go to trial. Not only that, but this case centered upon complicated issues involving the "demutualization" of the Prudential Insurance Company, "conversion" of funds, and whether or not retirees can sue their former Unions for actions which are taken after they retire. Mr. Kozan showed a mastery of these issues-- involving contract, labor, and insurance law to which most other lawyers have never even been exposed. Mr. Kozan personally and single-handledly undertook an exhaustive amount of investigation-- including multiple depositions, etc. to bring facts to light which supported his position as to these legal issues. Although he remained an instructor in the Police Academy until approximately 1990, in 1984, Mr. Feeley left the police department and joined the City of Orange Fire Department, where he remained until 2008, when he retired as a Deputy Chief. During his career with the Fire Department, Mr. Feeley served as President of FMBA Local 10 and 210 for a combined total of seventeen years. As president he successfully negotiated numerous contracts and handled many disciplinary issues and grievances. His union experience has provided him with the unique ability to grasp and fully understand the issues that face public employees and the established practices of their employers. In 2008, Mr. Feeley was recognized as the âLabor Leader of the Yearâ by the City of Newark Fire Union.
