He has extensive experience providing counsel on general business matters such as start-up and formation, limited liability companies, joint ventures and partnerships, corporate governance, shareholder relations, bank and other financing, securities, real estate matters, and contracts including venture capital, franchises, employment, vendors and consulting arrangements. Shawn also maintains an active practice assisting clients with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including leveraged buy-outs and business succession planning. Shawn also represents local non-profit organizations and financial institutions.

Rob has enjoyed the opportunity to practice law in Southeastern Wisconsin for over 25 years. Rob and his wife, Ann, currently have a son in college and twin daughters in high school, and they reside in Mequon. Rob is responsive to questions from both individuals and business owners, and has handled a variety of cases and projects in the areas of estate planning, wills, elder law, trusts, probate, tax, small business, business sales and acquisitions, real estate, litigation and general practice.

Ralph Ehlinger is a lawyers' lawyer who brings knowledge and creativity to transactional matters and enjoys the challenge of an uphill battle in court. With a depth of experience in creating and acquiring businesses, drafting shareholder agreements and non-competes, and negotiating and closing business and real estate transactions, he represents individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations not only when things are going well but in times of trouble.

But he has also represented clients in matters as diverse as lender liability, fair debt collection practices violations, insurance agent license revocation, nursing home abuse, insurance claim denials, attorney malpractice, wrongful termination of employment, police brutality, race discrimination, trustee bad-faith claims, and harassment injunctions.

Ralph has dedicated his career to making his clients' lives go smoothly in their business and personal affairs and to fighting hard for justice when things go wrong. He brings a wealth of experience to both tasks. He is at his best with matters that require hands-on attention to unique situations.

Ralph has been highly regarded by his peers throughout his career. He was named outstanding editor of the Georgetown Law Journal the year he became a lawyer and Lawyer of the Year by the Milwaukee Bar Association three decades later. His peer-rated Martindale Hubbell ranking is AV, the highest level for ability and integrity. He has taught corporate law at Marquette Law School and served as President of the Milwaukee Bar Association Foundation. He is a past board president of the Milwaukee County Mental Health Association and past Chairman of the Richfield Plan Commission.

He also incorporated and was the first life member of the Nordic Ski Club of Milwaukee, plays the piano and guitar badly, and is still raising the last four of his six children, which is the surest evidence that his law firm will be around for a long, long time. After that you pay an additional amount ONLY if there is a fee, court expense or other expense related to your legal matter. You only pay for the additional fee or expense when the fee or expense is actually incurred.

While we cannot offer flat fee services for every conceivable matter, in situations where we are unable to offer a flat fee we offer a very competitive hourly rate. In addition, there are contact rates for businesses referring large volumes of legal matters, such as collections and landlord/tenant matters.
