Some might call me a licensing attorney. I have extensive business and legal experience advising and empowering business innovators. My passion is for advising & empowering clients in a variety of brand-focused industries, including eCommerce, LOHAS-related consumer products, & publishing, with their corporate, IP & licensing matters.

My ongoing mission is to use my diverse professional and personal interests to not only empathize with individuals, but also holistically and genuinely anticipate ways that I can provide them with additional value.

I provide legal services to small to medium-sized clients in the New England region, and throughout the U.S. and abroad. My clients are involved in a variety of business sectors, including software development, e-commerce, investment managagement and advising, health care, manufacturing, biotechnology, telecommunications, retailing, and consulting and other services.

I focus on the unique needs of each of my clients; and I seek to establish long term relationships with them by providing timely, highly professional services and practical business judgment. I carefully consider each client's objectives, business and management styles to help me provide more focused and relevant services.

I also act as an outsourced general counsel for some of my clients for the general management of their legal function, including the establishment of budgets, creation of internal compliance procedures, and the oversight of litigation or other outside legal services.

The firm makes extensive use of technology to enhance the timeliness and cost-effectiveness of its services, and to extend their reach throughout the U.S. and abroad .

I represent small to midsized businesses in a variety of business and employment disputes in federal and Massachusetts courts. I also selectivley represent plaintiffs in employment matters and personal injury claims. As a former assistant district attorney, I also devote a significant portion of my practice defending people accused of crimes, typically in District Court.

I am co-author of the Massachsutts Practice Series volume on civil practice in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts that is published by Thomson-West, the largest legal publisher. Following law school, I clerked for a justice of the Supreme Judical Court of Massachusetts. I have conducted numerous jury trials and bench trials and have argued approximately 30 times before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Masssachusetts Appeals Court.

I take a practical approach and try to be creative in bringing about an expeditious resolution that furthers my client's best interests.
