I gained life experience in the US Air Force, as an immigration inspector, nursing administrator, and as an independent paralegal before attending law school and establishing my own practice here in North Sioux. My life experience gives me the knowledge and empathy necessary to help a family wade through difficult legal issues. I have dealt with divorce and custody issues personally, and know what it is like to face a personal disaster. I also know that you CAN recover from hardship, with the right help.

Mark Ekse - Registered Patent Attorney and Member of the State Bar of South Dakota.


Mark founded the Ekse Law Firm as South Dakota's own intellectual property law resource. Prior to founding the firm he worked in a variety of engineering and business development roles for Rockwell-Collins, in advanced technology development for Motorola, was in private practice specializing in intellectual property law, and most recently was the Chief Technology Officer and In-House Counsel for Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc.
