Michael R. Deems has been practicing law in California since 1985 and is admitted to the bar for the State of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Mr. Deems obtained his degree in mathematics in 1976 at California Lutheran College and his juris doctorate degree in 1985 at the University of San Francisco. In 1999, Mr. Deems was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Sacramento Chapter, the Butte County Bar Association and the State Bar of California. Areas of practice: Mr. Deems spent the first 13 years of his practice representing insurance companies handling personal injury disputes and insurance policy matters. Since 1998, his practice has broadened to include virtually all aspects of civil litigation including the representation of people seriously injured in all types of accidents, the representation of employees and employers in discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination disputes, and the representation of small to medium sized businesses in the prosecution or defense of business litigation.
