Albert is a Partner at Scarinci Hollenbeck in the Entertainment, Sports, Media, and Intellectual Property practice group. Albert is also the founder of Beat Street Entertainment and Beat Street Music Group. Albert represents clients in a variety of practice areas, including entertainment, litigation, trademark, commercial transactions, licensing, and more.
Albert has counseled a variety of notable clients, including NFL running back Brian Westbrook of the Philadelphia Eagles, hip-hop legend Havoc of Mobb Deep, DJ and producer DJ L.E.S., Rapper Big Noyd, hip-hop pioneer E-40, recording artist and winner of America’s Got Talent Bianca Ryan, singer Riley McEvoy, mixed martial artists Jonavin “Spider” Webb and Eddy “Taino Warrior” Torres, Galileo Films, celebrity designer Brian Lichtenberg, premier affordable housing leader The Michaels Organization, twin products innovators Stuff 4 Multiples LLC.
Albert was formerly a litigator at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in New York. Albert’s practice included commercial and securities litigation and investigations by governmental and regulatory agencies. Albert advised pharmaceutical companies in breach of contract suits, defended an international beverage giant in a breach of contract suit, represented an international bank in connection with inquiries by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York State Attorney General's Office, and represented a global oil services company in connection with internal investigations and compliance reviews.
Albert received his undergraduate degree from UCLA in 1997 and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2003. Albert is fluent in English and Spanish and is a member of the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania State Bars. Albert is fluent in English and Spanish and is admitted in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Courts for the SDNY, the EDNY, and EDPA.
