Amy D Griner
Experienced in family law, criminal defense, bankruptcy and estate planning
After more than 20 years of practicing law in both Indiana and Colorado, Amy Griner decided there had to be a better way to run a law firm. Tired of seeing good people in need of assistance being turned away because of high retainers, inflexible payment options or being over billed, Amy decided that something had to be done.
After graduating from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Amy started a successful 10 year career as a deputy prosecutor before taking her talents to a private practice and finding her passion in criminal defense and family law. She became a court appointed guardian ad litem and an advocate for children and families in crisis while playing an integral role in detention reforms for juveniles in her Indiana community.
Upon her arrival in Colorado, Amy practiced law at a civil rights firm focusing on providing legal aid to victims of domestic violence. Later as an advocate for fathers rights, Amy fought for her clients to be recognized as a vital part of their child’s life.
It was after all of her years in the legal profession that Amy had had enough. One night while discussing her frustrations the seeds of the firm were planted. Amy was adamant that everyone deserved to have exceptional legal representation at a reasonable cost and she was going to help make it possible. Welcome to Griner Legal.
Amy offers her significant experience in a broad range of legal disciplines: criminal defense, family law (divorce, child custody), bankruptcy, estate planning (wills and trusts) in addition to her integrity and passion for her clients needs. Her diverse skill set and dedication to a high level of honest communication help Amy obtain the best results possible for her clients.
Amy Griner is licensed to practice law in the states of Colorado, Indiana and Utah, a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the United States Bankruptcy court district of Colorado.
