ANDREW B. WACHLER is the principal of WACHLER & ASSOCIATES, P.C. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Michigan in 1974 and was the recipient of the William J. Branstom Award. He graduated Cum Laude from Wayne State University Law School in 1978. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan in 1978.
Mr. Wachler is a member of the American Bar Association Health Law Section through which he served on the HIPAA Task Force, the Programs Committee, and the editorial board of The Health Lawyer publication. Mr. Wachler is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. Mr. Wachler also participated in the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section (Health Providers Subcommittee and past member, Health Care Law Section Council) and the Oakland County Bar Association.
Mr. Wachler has focused his practice on health care law for over 25 years and specializes in all aspects of health care law. He is frequently asked to speak on health care issues, both locally and nationwide, to a variety of groups such as the Health Care Law Section of the American Bar Association, the American Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists, the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section, numerous county and local medical societies and medical staffs, Michigan Radiology Business Management Association, the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, the National Society of Gastroenterologists, Lorman’s Educational Services, and United Communications Group.
