Angelo "Tony" Marino Jr.
Personal Attention and Skill count-39 years as a Board-Certified Trial Lawyer
I have been a Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer for 39 continuous years, and practice in both state and federal courts. I have represented clients in Lee, Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties, throughout Florida, and in other states.
I graduated with honors from college and graduated from The Ohio State University Law School in 1972. While at Ohio State, I won the Nathan Burkan Award and placed first in the Moot Court competition.
I have appeared on local TV and national talk shows, such as Voice of America. I have provided professional information and advice to the public in the areas of personal injury, class actions, and consumer law.
I have been and remain a Florida Bar Member advisor to lawyers who need advice in personal injury and other areas of law.
I am an active member of the Florida Bar and a member of the Federal Bars. I have argued before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the Federal Claims Court.
I am an AV Preeminent rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubble (their highest rating), am listed in Super Lawyers (The Super Lawyers selection process is based on peer recognition and professional achievement, and only 5% of Florida lawyers earn the honor.), selected to become a member of The National Association of Distinguished Counsel (top 1% of attorneys), maintain a superb 10 rating from Avvo, have been a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and am a member of the Million Dollar Trial Lawyers group on LinkedIn and a member of Scribes, The American Society of Writers on Legal Subjects.
I have been involved in cases that literally changed the way certain products were made because I demonstrated they were improperly and dangerously made.
I have handled class action cases against gun manufacturers for faulty design leading to millions of dollars in settlement.

- Q. I’m currently being subject to a yoyo car deal I left with the car 15 days ago
- A: The devil is in the detail. Yes, this is a YO-YO fraud claim, most likely. But look at your paperwork to see what it says about financing. I suggest you consult with a consumer lawyer.
- Q. I sustained an injury at my previous job five years ago, and workers' compensation covered the foot surgery. I was out
- A: The answer depends on a lot of factors. There are too many to list here. There is a 2-year statute of limitations to file a workers' compensation claim. Therefore, it is important to determine if your claim is still viable after 5 years. You need to determine if your case is still open or if was it settled.
The statute of limitations is a provision in Florida law that ends an injured worker’s right to claim benefits, receive medical treatment, or sue for lost wages. A Florida workers’ compensation claim (a Petition for Benefits) is forever barred unless it is filed within (A) two years from the date of injury, or (B) after the initial two years, within one year of the last payment ... - Q. if a defendant did not answer a specific interrogatory - who do I make them answer.
- A: In Florida, you must first reach out to the defendant and try to resolve the matter; that is get him/her to agree to supply a better answer. If that does not work, then you need to do a motion to compel better answer(s) and send that along with a notice of hearing set before your judge. I suggest you go to the judge's website to see how to do this. Most counties have a webpage that show you how to do this.
