Barry Benjamin Kreisler
Barry Kreisler is a Chicago lawyer with more than 40 years legal and business experience, having served as partner in several law firms, as vice president of and legal counsel to the multi-billion dollar Chicago investment advisor of a group of Chicago based publicly held mutual funds and as president and CEO of a middle sized Chicagoland real estate brokerage, management and development company.
A highly experienced real estate developer, Kreisler has himself developed and supervised the legal work regarding acquisition, development, and sale of Chicagoland shopping centers, office buildings, mixed use buildings, and literally thousands of condominium units. Kreisler has also served on a number of Condominium Association Boards of Managers and spent more than ten years as president of a forty unit Condominium Association. Because of his widely varied experience, Kreisler brings a highly practical and pragmatic point of view to legal representation, having acted as both client and attorney in many complex business and real estate transactions. Kreisler is highly sensitive to the myriad of complex issues and pressures and the practical concerns clients are facing, while being extremely proficient in handling the legal technicalities of complex transactions.
Kreisler earned a degree in accounting from Northwestern University School of Management. After qualifying as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he attended the University of Chicago, College of Law and Graduate School of Business where he received a Juris Doctor degree in Law and a Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in Investment Finance. Barry Kreisler is licensed to practice in Illinois and has been admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States.
