Brendan Lykins

Brendan Lykins’s career has been devoted to holding wrongdoers – and their insurance companies – accountable while his clients and their families focus on recovery. He is committed to obtaining fair resolutions for his clients through settlement, trial, or appeal.
Born and raised in Topeka, Brendan is the youngest of four siblings. He earned his undergraduate degree in political science with a secondary major in international studies and a minor in French from Kansas State University. Following graduation, Brendan spent five years in Seoul, South Korea, teaching language classes at public schools, private academies, and the Seoul National University of Education. He then returned to Kansas in 2011 to attend Washburn University School of Law.
Brendan is an active member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association (Education Committee member), the KBA, and the Wichita Bar Association (Civil Practice Committee member). He has served as a faculty member presenting continuing legal education seminars for the Wichita Bar Association and the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association.
After numerous successful personal injury verdicts and settlements, Brendan was named to the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers: ‘Rising Stars’ list from 2019 to present and he has been recognized and selected by his peers to the Best Lawyers: ‘Ones to Watch’ list from 2021 to present.
Prior to moving to Kansas City, Brendan worked at a large personal injury law firm in Wichita, where he achieved the firm’s highest jury verdicts in 2019 and 2021. He also gained valuable experience at a plaintiff’s firm specializing in medical negligence cases prior.
Outside of his legal practice, Brendan enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, reading, flying, biking, and traveling.
