Brian began practicing law as a Deputy District Attorney. After leaving the DA’s office, he worked in civil firms where he handled personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation, and family law cases. Brian’s diverse background provides a unique perspective on the often-divisive issues present in domestic cases. Since joining Modern Family Law, he has dedicated his practice to family law and criminal cases.
Brian’s time in the District Attorney’s office influenced how he works his cases in family law – he doesn’t ‘handle’ them, he ‘prosecutes’ them. He is a zealous advocate for his clients and constantly seeks the best possible outcome for them. His experience in handling varied legal issues provides a ‘big picture’ perspective on the case. Brian takes the time to get to know his clients and their legal issues to ensure he can provide the solutions which meet their needs and develop a strategy to lead to the best possible outcome in their case.
Brian’s experience as a prosecutor and civil litigator has led him to love the courtroom. He has represented clients all the way from uncontested stipulated separations to high-conflict, high-asset divorces where the parties do not agree on anything. Brian is not afraid to step into the courtroom and fight for you.
However, Brian understands that not all cases require litigation and has the ability to resolve cases through mediations and stipulated agreements while still protecting his client’s interests and goals. Each case is different and requires a different approach, and Brian excels at working with you to find the approach to fit your needs and resolve your case.
