Brian McKinley

Brian E. McKinley has been an attorney with Wilder Mahood McKinley & Oglesby since 2001, becoming partner in June, 2012. Mr. McKinley is a member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and Allegheny County Bar Association. Mr. McKinley is a Council Member for the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section. He is also a member of the Public Service Committee and Appellate Practice Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He has served on the Rules Committee and as a Council Member of the Family Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. Mr. McKinley is a former member of the Pittsburgh Matrimonial Inns of Court. He has served as a writer and lecturer for family law continuing legal education seminars and classes, including the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Summer Meeting and the Clarion University Legal Conference. Mr. McKinley is a co-author of the Pennsylvania Family Law Practice and Procedure, updating the treatise annually since 2012.
Mr. McKinley is a graduate of the Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute at the University of Houston School of Law. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2000. While attending law school, Mr. McKinley received the Family Law Award presented to the student achieving the highest grade in the Family Law course. His time at law school also included working as a research assistant for Professor Margaret Mahoney, serving on the University of Pittsburgh School of Law’s Corporate Counsel Clinic and completing an externship with the Pennsylvania Securities Commission, Division of Enforcement & Litigation. Prior to law school, Mr. McKinley attended Kent State University where he majored in Finance and graduated cum laude, with a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree.
