I am a Chicago based litigation attorney who has been practicing law since 1988. I opened my own law firm in 1997 and I have been a successful solo-practitioner ever since. I take a tenacious, results driven, approach to all matters in my practice which makes me a strong advocate and assists in my proven record of success. Because I am a solo-practitioner, I will be directly and personally involved in your legal matters from its inception through its conclusion and together, I believe we will achieve a positive resolve to your legal problems.
The focus of my practice is litigation with an emphasis in employment litigation. I handle claims of discrimination and harassment, retaliation for complaining of discrimination, whistle-blower claims, claims for unpaid wages, commissions or other forms of remuneration including claims involving unpaid overtime, and legal disputes surrounding non-compete clauses. Much of my practice involves resolution of employment matters outside of formal litigation such as providing consultation and advisory opinions regarding any employment concerns, conducting negotiations involving severance agreements and non-compete provisions, advocating for clients during pre-litigation mediation sessions and participating in administrative proceedings through government agencies.
I am also practicing general commercial litigation. I have assisted many business entities such as, law firms and insurance agencies achieve monetary remuneration for goods and services provided as well as handled many forms of general legal problems associated with unlawful competitive business practices.
As a natural derivation of my extensive litigation experience, I am serving as a mediator/arbitrator. In this role, I assist parties seeking to craft a resolve of their legal problems through settlement or arbitration. In November of 2018, I successfully completed the 40-hour, Northwestern School of Professional Studies, Mediation Intensive.
