Legal Answers
Q. If my landlord terminate my lease does it affect your credit
A: It depends on the terms of the lease and the circumstances surrounding as to why you may want to terminate. Most standardized leases have an option that they can collect and attempt to recover damages as a result of the breach of the lease contract. However, it is possible that there are defenses for a tenant that has a justifiable reason for terminating the lease. It is important to try to work something out with the landlord if this is a major concern -- but the best option is to consult with an attorney.
Q. I am considering bankruptcy on balances of high interest accounts. Can I get help doing it on my own.
A: Usually, you can find an attorney that may be able to help you. Doing it on your own can affect potential assets, cash, items you own, or collection items. It is best to hire an attorney rather than doing it on your own so the adequate protections available to a debtor are used in the petition.
