
Cliff Hypsher
Attorney Cliff Hypsher opened his Criminal Defense Practice, in Arapahoe County, Colorado in 1997. Focused primarily on Misdemeanor and Felony DUI Defense and Driver’s License Law, Mr. Hypsher has represented clients in a variety of Criminal and Appellate cases throughout Colorado. Categories of other cases that Mr. Hypsher will currently handle include, Domestic Violence, Robbery, Assault, Kidnapping, Drug Possession and Trafficking, Theft and all types of Misdemeanor and Felony Probation Violations. Mr. Hypsher currently serves clients in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, El Paso, Clear Creek, Douglas, Larimer, Park and Weld Counties
Mr. Hypsher is a graduate of the prestigious University of Colorado School of Law, Boulder, Colorado. His first assignment after law school was as an Assistant County Attorney in Adams County Colorado. During this assignment, Mr. Hypsher gained extensive trial experience as lead criminal prosecutor for the Adams County Zoning Department and Adams County Liquor Licensing Authority. It was also during this period that Cliff first ventured into the Federal Court system, litigating numerous cases under Federal Statutes 42 U.S.C. 1983 and Titles VII in suits against the Adams County Commissioners and Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Hypsher next served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Colorado, Department of Law, Revenue Division. In this position he honed his skills as a litigator and appellate attorney representing such diverse state entities as the Colorado Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle Division, Colorado Racing Commission, Property Tax Administrator and State Liquor Licensing Authority. While a member of the Department of Law, Mr. Hypsher greatly broadened his litigation experience in both Federal and State District Courts stretching across the length and breath of the State of Colorado. It was also during this period that Mr. Hypsher broadened his training at the Academy of European Law in Trier, Germany.
