Courtney M. Sierra
Being an attorney has been a long-standing goal for me. Ever since I was twelve years old, I sought ways to help people and this desire to work with people and help people in my community has led me to become a family law attorney.
When I heard that a friend struggled with a debilitating illness, I arranged a fundraiser to cover health care and living expenses. I convinced small business owners to donate goods and funds and organized one of the best fundraisers in our community raising more than $28,000.00 to help the family.
Shortly after college, I contributed to society with hands-on work as a psychiatric rehabilitation therapist. I worked with high-risk children, ages 3 to 13, who struggled with a variety of challenges that mental health difficulties can bring. Many of these children came from blended families and difficult family dynamics. The experience as a psychiatric rehabilitation therapist helps Courtney understand the struggles that our clients sometimes experience with their children during divorce and separation. This experience provides me with an excellent background to create a strategy for my clients during child custody disputes.
My husband and I have an elementary school-aged daughter. I am a Star Wars fan and an Elf volunteer for the Circuit Court’s adoption day. If you have a family law problem, I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
