Coy H. Browning graduated cum laude from Charleston Southern University in South Carolina, where he majored in criminal justice. A Pre-season All-American linebacker for the CSU Buccaneers, Coy was inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004.After college, Coy graduated second in his class from the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy, where he also earned the school’s prestigious Director’s Award for leadership. During his years serving as a Florida State Trooper, he investigated over 1,000 motor vehicle crashes.
Building on his successful law enforcement career, Coy earned a law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland Law School in 2002. After graduation, he returned to Florida and founded Browning Law Firm, P.A. in Fort Walton Beach, and has built it into a premier auto accident law firm.
Coy is a former president of the Okaloosa-Walton Bar Association. He also belongs to the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Florida Justice Association.
Coy has served as President and on the Board of Directors of All Sports Association, a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth athletics. Coy makes his home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida with his wife Elizabeth, his daughter Isla Grace, and son Tice.
