Legal Answers
- Q. Can I file a suit against someone in small claims court without their name or address if I plan to subpoena the info?
- A: This is a civil question not traffic tickets. I believe you can file a John doe suit but again that's not a question for traffic tickets. Law enforcement should do their job and investigate as hit and run is a misdemeanor. I would go up the law enforcement chain and get them to do their job. good luck
- Q. My boyfriend sent me threats over the phone. So when I seen him By my neighborhood.I hit him with my car.
- A: If they're criminal threats he can get in trouble. It doesn't sound like self defense so I think you will likely get in trouble. You might have a self defense argument if you were in fear of imminent danger.
- Q. A ticket arrived in the mail for speeding how should I proceed
- A: You can contest it or pay it. You may very well want to reach out to an attorney in the jurisdiction where your ticket is and talk about representation. There may be legal defenses if it was a camera ticket.
