License Law Group www.LicenseLawGroup.comDaniel Rubinow is a veteran in the field of regulation and litigation relating to business licensing matters. Prior to founding the License Law Group, the majority of Daniel's legal career was spent prosecuting business licensees before the City of Chicago’s Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, the City’s License Appeal Commission, and the Cook County Circuit Court. His experience with the City exposed him to countless complex and unique licensing issues which he now draws upon to help business owners in their endeavors. Prior to forming the License Law Group, Daniel also joined the Casino Law Group, focusing on gaming law, and the Illinois Medical Marijuana Law Group, focusing on the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act. Previous to his work in license enforcement, Daniel represented the City of Chicago in hundreds of cases before Cook County’s Branch Courts, defended the City in appeals from Department of Administrative Hearings cases, and chaired the City’s first guilty verdict in a City criminal jury trial in over ten years (City of Chicago v. Thayer). Prior to Daniel’s prosecutorial work, he researched legal issues pertaining to building safety and best practices for the Department of Buildings, and issues pertaining to public policy, crime, and safety for the late Norma I. Reyes, Deputy Chief of Staff to Mayor Richard M. Daley. Daniel had the pleasure of serving as an attorney for the late Ms. Reyes again during her tenure as the Commissioner of Chicago's Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection. Before receiving his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Daniel worked in marketing and advertising with Zenith Media Services representing Wendy’s, M&M/Mars, United Airlines, and other national advertisers. In addition, he worked in marketing and sales for Cargo Records America and the Elektra Entertainment Group.
