Biography

David is a partner at Morgan & Morgan Business Trial Group, practicing intellectual property law and commercial litigation. David represents his clients in litigation as both plaintiffs and defendants. He is experienced in dealing with litigation involving business and contract disputes, employment and labor claims, landlord-tenant issues, personal injury, professional malpractice, and all areas of intellectual property (including patents, copyrights, and trademarks). While often able to resolve disputes through negotiation or mediation, David is comfortable taking difficult cases to trial in both state and federal court and arguing before administrative hearings. He also assists clients acquire, secure, and monetize some of their most valuable intangible assets through registration of their copyrights and trademarks with the appropriate state and federal agencies as well as negotiating IP transfer and licensing agreements.

David received his JD from the University of Miami School of Law, magna cum laude, where he served on the executive board of the University of Miami International & Comparative Law Review and received both the CALI Award and Dean’s Certificate for his work in Patent Law and Advanced Patent Law. He worked as a summer associate at Howarth & Smith, a prestigious high-profile, high-stakes litigation boutique, in Los Angeles, California. Before law school, David received his BS, cum laude, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he majored in Biochemistry & Biophysics. He previously worked on cancer drug development at both the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and in the Gilbert Laboratory at Rensselaer.
