David Hanson

In 2023, David was part of the trial team that obtained a $38.6 million verdict in a complex medical malpractice case. In 2022, he was lead counsel in two medical malpractice jury trials and obtained jury verdicts for his clients in each. In addition to trial work, David is routinely retained to represent clients in complex appellate matters with outstanding results. David has argued, and won, cases at the Georgia Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Before forming starting his own firm, David practiced for a decade at the premier medical malpractice defense boutique in Georgia. There, David learned the nuances of civil tort litigation in the highest stakes arena. David became the go-to resource for his perspective on complex legal issues and quickly developed a reputation as an exceptional writer and advocate. David served as lead trial counsel in numerous high stakes trials and obtained multiple precedent-setting appellate decisions as lead appellate counsel.
After graduating law school from the University of Alabama, David worked pro bono for one year at the Southern Environmental Law Center, representing environmental non-profit organizations in litigation arising under the Clean Water Act. David then practiced at one of the largest firms in Atlanta where he represented clients in emergency proceedings involving trade secret misappropriation, cases involving breaches of restrictive covenants, and state and federal cases involving unfair and deceptive trade practices.
David has always been drawn to oral advocacy, both at the trial an appellate level. Beginning in high school, David competed in national mock trial competitions, going to the national championship four times in college and winning a national title in law school. In law school, David expanded his expertise to moot court, where he won multiple best oralist awards.
David lives in Sandy Springs with his wife, Meagan, and two children.
