David John Miller
I am a native Floridian and spent most of my life in Pinellas County, Florida. Following graduation from Tarpon Springs High School, I received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida. After working in accounting for several years, I decided that my true passion was in the legal profession and proceeded down the path to become an attorney. Even though I chose to leave the accounting profession, that experience remains invaluable in analyzing cases because I view real estate and business matters through a lens that few attorneys possess.
The journey to becoming an attorney is as difficult as it is rewarding, and I am grateful that I decided to stay local and attend Stetson University College of Law. The teaching methods in law school further developed my way of thinking and continue to help me in providing the best possible service to my clients.
The difference between me and some other attorneys is that I enjoy the problem-solving component that is essential in this field. Stetson also reinforced the importance of utilizing the same level of professionalism while interacting with an adversary as when dealing with an ally. Many cases are resolved by having a civil conversation with the opposition which saves both sides’ money and aggravation.
Most importantly, I chose to be an attorney because I enjoy helping people resolve issues that are causing stress in their lives. Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you.
