David grew up in Georgia, where he excelled in academics and football. He received a full athletic scholarship to play football at the prestigious Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina where he became an ESPN Academic All-American. In 2008, he graduated with Cum Laude honors and received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Political Science with a concentration in Latin American Studies.
It was at Furman where David developed a passion for serving the community while clerking for the Steve Henry Law Office. Specializing in criminal defense, David helped Mr. Henry manage his non-profit organization “Law in Action,” where David educated inmates at the Greenville County Detention Center on their constitutional rights, and assisted their families.
David studied law at Georgia State College of Law and University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Boyd School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2013. He was admitted to the Nevada State Bar and the United States District Court, District of Nevada, in 2013. He primarily practices in the areas of Personal Injury and Criminal Defense.
David is fluent in English and Spanish. His unique Cuban heritage has always been special to him. David’s ancestry includes his Uncle Mario Garcia-Menocal, who was Cuba’s Third President from 1913-1921. He is also a descendant of Jose Marti, who is the most influential figure in Cuban history and was central to Cuba’s independence from Spain in 1898.
David was admitted to the Nevada State Bar and the United States District Court, District of Nevada, in 2013. He primarily practices in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury litigation. David is fluent in Spanish.
