Biography

I REPRESENT REAL PEOPLE, NOT JUST CLIENTS. Truth, when clearly, accurately and logically applied to law wins criminal defense cases. Because the truth is so critical in drafting a winning defense, I am relentless in discovering and verifying each and every detail of each and every case. I Prepare, Prepare, Prepare. In 16 years experience as a successful trial lawyer I have defended hundreds of clients in hundred hearings and trials. In every case it is my goal to be the most prepared attorney in the courtroom. I know that developing and preserving evidence is so vital to a winning; As each case requires, I employ a team of professional experts to review police reports, interview witnesses, diagram crime scenes, and review computer and electronic forensics. In 2012, I was voted Utah’s Parental Defense Trial Attorney of the Year. I know how to talk to a judge and jury. Because of the thousands of hours I have spent in a court-room, I dare say I am perhaps more comfortable in a court-room, than my own front room. Experience has taught me that most cases are won outside the court-room, without ever going to trial. The absolute best way to win a case is to convince a prosecutor to not file charges in the first place. This is where I excel. I spent 14 years as a Public Defender. As defense counsel, I met with prosecutors on a daily basis. I know how to convince prosecutors that they do not have a winning case. Once I have them convinced that their case is a looser, they inevitably decline to charge, or dismiss charges. My clients win.
