Denise received her law degree from Georgetown University in 1994. Her practice focuses almost exclusively on DWI defense. She is the President of the Missouri DWI Institute and Chair of the Bernard Edelman DWI Law and Science Seminar (2017-2020), a DWI training seminar for attorneys in the state. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and was one of only four members of the statewide MACDL DWI Committee. Her peers have voted her a Super Lawyer in the area of DWI/DUI Defense for several years running. She was voted Best DWI/DUI Attorney in the Kansas City area by the Kansas City Star in 2023.
Her philosophy in DWI cases centers on protecting her clients’ rights from government overreach, mistakes by law enforcement, and the “watered down justice” we see all too often in the legal system today. Her offer to you is easily put: She will do her absolute best to help you get the result you desire in your DWI case.
People sense sincerity and tend to reciprocate it. Denise treats her clients with great care and respect. They know that she is there to protect them, and they appreciate it.
It is the commitment to continuous learning, finding answers, and keeping at the cutting edge that makes for the best DWI lawyer. Constantly learning and gaining knowledge is a must for top DWI lawyers and that is exactly why Denise gets the results she gets.
Denise has a personal commitment to excellence. She studies, chooses, develops, refines, and presents arguments that have sound legal and factual support. That is how she stands on solid ground and insists on bringing about the desired results. She guards and protects her credibility and integrity. When she does her best, she allows excellence to permeate her practice, and in doing so, her clients reap the benefits.
