Don Spears is a trial lawyer and has been in practice for 40 + years, Don has dedicated his career to fighting for the rights of Arkansans. Growing up in Malvern, Arkansas, Don truly understands the hardships that legal problems can create for a family.
After graduating from Malvern High School, Don attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Fulfilling his lifelong goal, he went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1975.
Don was admitted to the bar in 1975 and is licensed to practice law in Arkansas. Because of his small town upbringing, he is sensitive to divorce, child custody and probate issues. He has also recovered millions of dollars in compensation for personal injury cases, particularly closed head brain injury cases. Don also has specialized in commercial transactions, banking and business litigation and real estate law since he was first admitted to the bar and is the owner of several successful businesses outside of his law practice.
Along with running a highly successful law practice, Don has spent a great deal of time mentoring and training your lawyers. He has also taught classes for other attorneys on closed head brain injuries.
Don was appointed as an organizing member of Arkansas Development Finance Authority by Bill Clinton (1986 to 1988) and later served again on that board. He also is a former member of the standing committee on legislation for the Arkansas Bar Association and the Legislative Policy Committee.
