Douglas Curran is a trial lawyer and partner in BraunHagey & Borden’s New York office. Doug represents clients in complex commercial litigation, with a particular focus on high-stakes financial and intellectual-property disputes. He represents corporations and individuals across a variety of industries, including financial services, private equity, emergent technology, biopharmaceutical, and media/entertainment. Doug works to understand the details of his clients’ businesses in order to advance their commercial objectives and secure favorable outcomes on their behalf.
As trial counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court, Doug has obtained litigation victories and negotiated resolutions in dozens of complex disputes. He has successfully represented clients in matters involving financial fraud, trade-secret theft, commercial espionage, unfair competition, tortious interference, and breach of contract, among others.
Doug is also passionate about his pro bono work. He has worked with several non-profit organizations offering legal services to indigent clients, and he has devoted significant time and energy to advocating for prisoners’ rights and representing underprivileged individuals in domestic and civil matters.
