Legal Answers
- Q. I signed a contract for condo in PR w/ earnest $ in Feb 2020 BEFORE Covid. Can I cancel w/o penalty (lost wages)
- A: It depends on many facts that you have not provided in your question. Also, an attorney needs to review your contract before advising you accurately on whether or not you can terminate the contract. I would highly advise you to immediately contact an attorney to discuss your options as the longer you wait the less likely you have grounds to back out of the contract.

You should stop everything you are doing, do not contact the relevant parties or the adjusters, nor make any other statements about the matter until you are represented or at the very least speak with an attorney directly. Also, I recommend acting quickly, as you have a limited amount of time to file a lawsuit should it be necessary to get you the full compensation you deserve.
