Biography

Chicago Vaccine Injury Attorney Edward Kraus is the Managing Partner at Kraus Law Group, LLC. Ed Kraus provides representation for individuals injured by vaccines in the United States Court of Federal Claims. Professor Kraus joined the Illinois Institute of Technology faculty in 1999 to direct the Health & Disability Law Clinic. Professor Kraus worked as a civil litigation and class action attorney at the law firm of Plotkin, Jacobs & Orlofksy, Ltd. He has also worked as the Policy Director for the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs from 1996 through 1997, where he was involved with policy and advocacy regarding social and economic justice in Chicago. From 1993 to 1996, he represented low-income clients in civil cases as a staff attorney for Legal Action of Wisconsin. Professor Kraus served on the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines from 2012 through 2016. He was appointed to the position by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. The Commission consists of nine members, who provide input to the Secretary regarding the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Professor Kraus has a BA with highest honors in English from the University of Michigan. He earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where he graduated cum laude.
