Elisa Marie Overall
The Noble Law Firm - Associate Attorney
I help people challenge their criminal convictions. Whether wrongfully convicted or unjustly prosecuted, my clients need someone to look at their potential claims, help them identify what form of relief they need, and give them honest, practical advice. My area of practice includes helping clients get a new trial, a new hearing, a sentence reduced, a guilty plea withdrawn, a conviction vacated, or an adverse judgment remanded.
I practice criminal defense because I deeply enjoy fighting for people who have been unfairly judged, marginalized, and swept up by our criminal justice system. The law is a powerful tool, and in some cases it can be used to successfully challenge a bad conviction. That is why I am so dedicated to understanding the details of each individual case. I know that a thorough, thoughtful, and skilled lawyer can mean all the difference for someone weighed down by their criminal record.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and my Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Before moving to the Denver area I lived in Telluride, Colorado. In my 8 years there, I focused on promoting grassroots advocacy. I led a community-driven initiative for immigrant rights, directed a district-wide grant to promote healthy active lifestyles for youth, and launched the first soda tax ballot initiative in Colorado. And of course I skied, built igloos, mountain biked, rafted, raced, and star-gazed.
I am originally from Tucson, Arizona, grew up in a Mexican-American household, and am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
