During law school Eric was active on the Moot Court and Trial Team competing in several nation-wide tournaments. While at the University of South Dakota he also obtained a Masters of Public Administration and started a food recovery program which provides weekly meals to the Vermillion food pantry. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking, playing guitar and volunteering.

The Pennington County Public Defender's Officer has a monthly lecture series on developments in the area of Criminal Defense. I was the speaker regarding the defense of marijuana cases, specifically regarding the discrepancies in South Dakota's current statutes as two definitions of marijuana apply--choosing the right definition is the difference between a felony and misdemeanor.

We are one of the oldest and most respected arts councils in South Dakota, incorporated in 1968. The Board of Directors of the Rapid City Arts Council is the elected governing body. It has guided the Arts Council's operations since 1968. Members are elected for a three-year term and represent arts, education, civic and business sectors within the community.
