Biography

Erica Baker is the managing attorney and owner of Prolific Entertainment Law Firm and specializes in entertainment law. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Attorney Baker obtained a juris doctor from Michigan State University School of Law. Ms. Baker is passionate about educating and representing the artists community at large.

As a native of Kansas City she grew up as a part of the local music community. Studying under notable musicians, teachers, and Kansas City pillars, she is a musician and artist in her own right. She understands the perspectives and needs of creatives and she uses her legal knowledge to help protect and advocate for artists of all disciplines. She was worked with notable music labels such as, Atlantic Records, Island Prolific Records, Strange Music, and Ropeadope. Attorney Baker has roots in Kansas City and she is committed to facilitating the growth and progression of the arts community.

Attorney Baker also has a wide breath of knowledge in practice areas other than entertainment. She has litigated a variety of civil cases including custody, child support, divorce, contract disputes, condemnations, collections, torts, construction and probate.
