Francis G.X. Pileggi
Corporate and Commercial Litigation
Francis practices primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation. His practice includes representation in high-stakes disputes for a wide range of clients in many industries as well as for utility companies, governmental entities and non-profits in multiple states. He also has enjoyed success in litigating, in both federal and state appellate courts, groundbreaking Second Amendment cases and related constitutional issues on behalf of civil rights organizations. In 2015 and 2019, he was honored with The Chief Justice William Killen Award for Distinguished Second Amendment Appellate Advocacy.
He has been hired to provide testimony as an expert witness in court on Delaware corporate law and Delaware LLC law.
One of his law review articles on corporate law has been cited by both the Delaware Supreme Court and the Delaware Court of Chancery. He has published over 1,000 articles in multiple publications on topics including corporate and commercial law as well as legal ethics and constitutional law. He also often speaks at seminars on those topics.
His Annual Review of Key Delaware Corporate and Commercial Decisions, now approaching its 20th year, has been described by a leading corporate law professor, who is often cited in Delaware court decisions, as “… the single most indispensable event of the corporate law year. A must read.”
He has been recognized for inclusion among “The Best Lawyers in America”; Delaware Today magazine’s “Top Lawyers”; and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
His litigation practice emphasizes representation in complex disputes among corporations, stockholders, officers, members of boards of directors, members and managers of LLCs, and those with managerial or ownership interests in other forms of entities. He has extensive experience in matters involving fiduciary duties and corporate governance.

Hourly--Depending on the type of cases and other factors, hourly rate ranges from $1400 per hour to $900 per hour.
