Indianapolis Criminal Defense and Family Law- Father's Rights Law Firm is led by an attorney with 24 years of experience and a former prosecutor Greg Spencer. We are not a high volume law firm, and each case will get the attention it deserves. Your case will not be passed down to an associate attorney. You will have cell phone numbers of the attorneys and a paralegal in your case. Your case will have a secure online portal where you can see all of your documents, upload your own documents, make payments and send secure messages. As a lead attorney on over 100 Jury Trials I am not afraid of court hearings, trials or depositions. If negotiating a settlement or a plea is in your best interests, we will discuss that as well.
We offer a free consultation on every case.

- I was a felony prosecutor for almost 10 years with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in Indianapolis and handled thousands of criminal cases, including serving as lead counsel on 104 jury trials. I have also defended clients against charges from minor traffic violations up to murder. My experience on both sides of the fence in criminal law allows me to analyze and asses your case from the position of strength. I understand the logic and thinking of the deputy prosecutors that will be trying to convict you. From the day you are arrested and charged with a crime, I will begin preparing your defense. My office will conduct a comprehensive investigation of your case and challenge the evidence that the government intends to use against you. You can take comfort in knowing that I will negotiate confidently on your behalf with the government’s lawyers. I will give your case the complete attention it deserves. I promise to work as hard as I can to obtain the best result possible.

- Q. I purchased a handgun from a coworker. No papers just gave money and took it. Well I sold it. Somehow it’s been sold
- A: The felon can be in possession of someone else's gun. Posession does not mean ownership, so usually ownership is secondary. For example, a felon lives with a roommate. You sell a gun to the roommate, who is not a felon. But this gun is being left in the middle of the room, the felon has access to the gun, knows where it is, touched the gun, etc. The felon is in constructive possession of his roommate's gun. He is in possession of the gun but does not own it. Government does not have to prove the felon owned the gun, just that he was aware that the gun was there and had access to it, even if it belonged to a different person.
- Q. Do Indiana crime labs have the technology or ability to tell (test) if it's hemp or marijuana
- A: I have seen the language in the lab work from the State "Marijuana THC percent not determined". Hopefully at some point in the future they would be able and/or interested in trying to determine that percentage.
- Q. Ik someone with a mis Warrant? How long will the sheriff wait to serve the warrant they live in Hendricks County Indiana
- A: A warrant can be served any time, depending on the seriousness of the offense and if the defendant is considered dangerous or not. If it is just a misdemeanor check mycase.in.gov to see if bond can be posted. Generally the sooner a defendant gets out of the warrant status the better. It is better to address it proactively versus waiting to be arrested.
