Biography

Harvey's practice focuses on employment based and "talent-based" immigrant and non-immigrant matters. Harvey works with scientists, engineers, researchers, professors, inventors, as well as professional artists in the performing or fine arts, professional musicians, and athletes, to explore their immigration options, and to prepare and file their application or petition. Harvey helps companies as well as individuals in self-sponsored (self-petitioned) cases. In the course of his practice, he has learned about the research and general science involved in: nanotechnology, renewables, sustainable manufacturing, next-generation electronics, drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, chemical engineering, advanced materials and coatings, 3D computer animation, engineering simulations, and microfluidics. He enjoys learning deeply about the work and accomplishments of talented individuals so that he may passionately advocate for their cases. Harvey is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers' Association (AILA). Harvey earned a J.D. at the University of San Diego, School of Law, where he was a co-chair in the Diversity Committee. He earned a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he concentrated on social psychology and public policy. Prior to his time at UCLA, he helped conduct laboratory research at the University of Southern California (USC) Pharmaceutical Sciences Center. In his leisure time, he enjoys being outdoors and active through running, hiking, and kayaking.
