Ms. Perkins' practice is focused on defending large and small employers in state and federal courts and agencies. Representative matters include defending allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and discrimination claims including age, race, disability and sex discrimination. Ms. Perkins' practice also includes all facets of managementunion relations, including representing employers in matters relating to union avoidance, providing assistance to companies that are involved in union organizing campaigns, and representing management in labor arbitrations. Ms. Perkins also has experience assisting large and small employers in pursuing former employees for violations of non-competition agreements and for unfair competition and prosecuting misappropriation of trade secret claims. Additionally, Ms. Perkins has counseled and assisted clients in drafting, reviewing and updating employee handbooks, procedures and policies as needed.
