Biography

I am a trial attorney in Cleveland, Ohio.

I primarily focus on real estate litigation and business litigation.

I have experience with contract dispute resolution for companies large and small, and I have represented both landlords and tenants in housing matters. I have litigated cases at the trial court and appellate court levels on the State of Ohio, as well as both the Northern and Southern District Courts of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. I have successfully moved to deny certiori before the Supreme Court of Ohio. I am focused on dispute resolution and resolving client matters as quickly as possible in a cost-effective and time-saving manner, whether that be via settlement or through the court system. I have published articles on Florida's stand your ground laws and their national effect, and the adoptive business records exception to hearsay and its use in Ohio courts. I was also named a Rising Star by Ohio's Super Lawyers for the past five years.

Legal Answers
Q. Hello. My landlord has put the house I'm renting up for sale, the Realtor wants to show it with me not being home.
A: You'll have to read your lease. Typically, the owner can have access with 24 hour's notice, and can request you leave during showings. Sorry you're dealing with this!
Q. My husband and I are buying on a land contract, my husband passed away in June. I continue to make payments and our
A: If you continue to make payments, you still have the option to purchase. Make sure you can still qualify for financing without your husband's income.
Q. Will a ticket show up in a court date that doesn’t have a verdict yet?
A: You should speak with an attorney to represent you as both of these tickets likely carry at least two points. An attorney may be able to knock down the moving violations. Are both tickets issued by the same municipality? I'd assume not, but it would be worth knowing. As to your question, open tickets can be found when searching you as there is a public record. Since there is no disposition, the record search will not say the outcome.
