- Q. I'm 17 and am gonna immigrate to US in the next couple weeks. I'm worried about being in trouble by f.bi.i for my search
- A: Hey there, depends on what you searched. If there is a suspected threat to National security, there could be more investigations. You have a better chance If you actually haven’t been convicted of any crimes. Also a student Visa is a non immigrant visa, so better to describe it as Entering the USA for School instead of Immigrating to the USA if asked your purpose at the border. Good luck!
- Q. I lost my i94 and passport in a house fire. My wife got her citizenship and wants to file for me. I want to prove entry
- A: Do you know your passport info? You could potentially retrieve your I-94 online. Or FOIA requesting your immigration records which should include I-94 info. You’ll probably need to get a new passport at this point. Good luck!
- Q. I married a Filipino girl in Costa Rica. How do I get her back to the US legally?
- A: If you are a US citizen or resident, you start by filing a family based petition for your wife and provide proof that the marriage is real, like Photos and other shared documents in the marriage. When the petition is approved, the next step is immigrant visa application before she comes to the USA.
