James Eric Kirkland
Cannabis Hemp Attorney
I am the founder of Kirkland Law PC, and I have the privilege of representing fast-growing companies in the US and Canada as well as private equity funds in the emerging cannabis industry. I provide a broad array of legal services with a focus on corporate structure, private offerings, secured debt financing, and tax matters. I have been the lead attorney on over $260 million in private offerings for cannabis companies since May of 2016. I also handle licensing agreements, equity incentive plans, and other legal issues that businesses face as they expand. I also assist companies through the arduous permitting and licensing process, appear at city council hearings, and guide you through the many pitfalls that besiege many early-stage cannabis companies.
I started my career as an accountant, and I am proficient in preparing financial projections and operational models as well as taking companies through certified public audits and 280E IRS tax audits.
I sincerely believe that the cannabis industry, including CBD and other cannabinoids, will make a profound impact on people's health.
If you are looking to enter the cannabis or hemp industry or would like assistance to expand your business, please contact me and let me help you reach your goals.
