Summary

I am an experienced courtroom advocate who has represented hundreds of clients at various hearings and trials in both an administrative and courtroom setting. My practice covers various topics including criminal law, real estate, social security, civil litigation, wills, and more. Additionally, I serve as a Mental Health Review Officer for Lycoming County and I assist with my firm's representation of two local school districts and an intermediate unit.

I am also an experienced appellate attorney, having brought and defended numerous appeals in Pennsylvania's appellate courts. I served as appellate counsel for the following reported decisions: David R. Nicholson, Builder, LLC v. Jablonski, 163 A.3d 1048 (Pa. Super 2017); In re York County District Attorney's Office, 15 A.3d 70 (Pa. Super. 2010); Commonwealth v. Catt, 994 A.2d 1158 (Pa. Super. 2010) (filed brief); Commonwealth v. Jones, 960 A.2d 481 (Pa. Super. 2008); Commonwealth v. Fleming, 955 A.2d 450 (Pa. Super. 2008); In re R.B.G., 932 A.2d 166 (Pa. Super. 2007) (did not file brief).

Part of a large group of professionals within the mental health system who presented to first responders regarding mental illness. My portion of the training focused on the legal requirements and practical issues underlying each step of the involuntary commitment process under Pennsylvania's Mental Health Procedures Act. I presented on this topic again in February 2019.

Presented to Evangelical Community Hospital's Emergency Department staff regarding how medical documentation errors or oversights can come back to haunt caregivers and patients in a courtroom setting. The presentation involved real world examples, discussed best practices, and included a mock cross-examination of staff members.

Presented to Montgomery, PA, middle school and high school students about the legal profession. The discussion addressed the academic requirements for becoming a licensed attorney, the benefits and detriments of pursuing a legal career, and a glimpse of what situations one might encounter in the legal field. I presented on this same topic again in December 2017.
